I was diagnosed in 1997 but according to my Consultant have probably had Crohn's since being a small child.  Have had three major surgeries and lots of bowel removed, due to fistulae and narrowings, including a fistula through the abdomninal wall after second surgery ending up with thrid surgery.  Since Aug 08 I have been suffering with faecal impaction or an impacted bowel.  According to the hospital they don't know what is causing it and there is nothing they can do other than feed me laxatives every day, bearing in mind that I had been taking Lomotil to ease up the frequency of bowel movements since early 1990s!  What I would like to know is if there are any other Crohn's sufferers out there who also have this problem too?  Impaction has happened 3 x times now (I am currently suffering) and no amount of Movicol or Kleenprep is moving things along - any help would be gratefully received.  Thanks
