I have acid reflux and heartburn anyway as a migraine side effect but it's got much worse since the prednisolone. Getting burning from my stomach up, particularly bad this morning in my throat. It's very uncomfortable and I also found that Gaviscon and the like hardly touch it.
Doc has prescribed me ranitidine (Zantac) to take twice a day. Am trying it that way at the mo but might go back to just taking it when I need it.
We are aware of acid reflux situations. Stomach acid pushes up into the esophogas and creates pain. You need to be aware of a bowel reflux, where the bile acid backs up, into your stomach. This causes extreme pain. All issues with acid indigestion problems should be brought to the attention of your physician or proper testing, then treated accordingly. Sometimes the latter issue causes extreme belching along with the pain. It sure is aggravating, besides being pretty painful, huh?
