hi all went to see surgeon yesterday and he is removing the gallbladder in a few weeks does any one know if it helps am very unsure wether to go ahead or not as have been told it might not help the pain after eating even small amounts of fatty foods, am on such a restricted diet that if i can add even small amounts of change and variation would be great as it is am on fat free, low fibre and lactose free diets so pretty boring as you all probably know . i dont mean plates of chips but  the thought of adding butter(well marge) to mash or on toast makes my mouth water oh well the simple things in life so any thoughts on this matter would be gratefully received thanks x

hi buzby r u suffering with your gall bladder due to crohns then, or what hun, i went into hospital with suspected gall stones but scan showed nothing. had lots of tests which proved colitis, i was told i produced to much bile thats why i had the runs alot, and to remove my gall bladder would make my runs worse. i suppose it all depends on whats happening to you,

I saw  a gastro consultant for the first time on thursday and he had a feel of my tummy and told me i didnt have colitis i had a sever case of ibs, which i think  is bulls***, has im now three stone lighter than i was 4 months ago, when i asked him about the diagnosis of colitis, he said there was inflammation there but the biopsies came back normal, so ive been on steroids for 4 weeks, which they now think has caused an ulcer, and also i have now started passing blood from my vagina, and since i had a  hysterectomy 5 years ago, they were concerned so did a full internal there now saying they think my bowel has a small perforation in, and the blood is leaking to the front. ibs my arse lol.

Sorry getting back to your matter  why have they decide to take your gall bladder away

sorry for the rant lol xxxsuexxx

Hi all,
Re all the comments regarding the removal of gall bladder,By my understanding this procedure is to reduce the amount of bile in the intestine as it is too acidicand aggravates the inflamed areas of it.

Hope this gives a better understanding of the reasons for the procedure.

Delilah.
