Hi Bev,

Pleased you have found this site...it has been very helpful to me over the last year. I had a temp colostomy from Feb 2009 to Oct 2009....have to admit it was a nightmare. I know alot of people are very positive about it and I know it did save my life....but I so resented it. Also had so many problems from leaks to over granulation. Had my reversal in Oct....has been a long recovery period and sorry to say harder than I had expected....bowls take along time to get back to normal and varoius pains...but still better than that bloody bag !!

Feel free to ask any questions re the reversal.

David

Hi Bev

I found this site not so long ago myself, the harder life is, the harder we look for the answers.  This site may not have all the answers, but does have all the support you need.  I'm sorry to hear that life is tough at the moment.  I always use the analogy, the dentist appointment is at 4.00pm, without fail 5.00pm appears and it's all over (Since having been diagnosed with Crohn's admittedly, the Dentist is now a bit of a walk in the park, but hopefully you'll know what I mean).  March will arrive, you'll face more challenges, and then you'll need to select a further time frame to work passed.  Last March I had to resections and 4 stricoplasty, and the difference in my health was immedaite, unfortunately it didn't last, but after steriods, infliximab blah blah, the last few weeks have been much better, you so have to try and make the most of the time you are feeling better.

Regards

Julie

Hi

I am new to sit to but not to crohns.  I had a bag for a while in 2000 well 22 weeks and 3 days, thats how bad I felt about it.  Since than I had further resections every 2 years, just passed the 2 year mark, thinks are beinging to flare up again.  I really toughed it last time in hospital, not looking forward to that again but know its coming.

Keep well Kim
