Hey people, how are all doing? Bit of a daft question!!  Anyway, i am wondering if there's anyone who has recently come off this Humira injection?  I got my last injection 3 weeks ago and they have now said that it is not working so they have stopped it.  My question is if you have stopped taking it, have you had any side effects? I have been feeling like crap, I feel like crap all the time anyway but the blinding headaches, lack of sleep, fatigue, grumpy etc,etc is really doing my head in. (excuse the pun)
If anyone could reply back with their effects that would be great.

Cheers

Hi

My daughter has had one injection of humira and has had headaches. Did they stop your treatment because your symptoms remained or was it because your bloods showed raised inflammation. Hope you dont mind me asking was just wondering in respect to my own daughter. Hopefully it will work for her but I like to get as much info as possible about these things.

Thanks Julie

Hey Julie.

Sorry to hear about your daughter, how old is she? I too was getting bad headaches, they told me it was one of the side affects. Hopefully it will help her relive her symtoms.
I have been taking the injections since Nov but typical it has not worked. It is the last thing they can give me.  Waiting to hear if i am going for an operation or if they are going to put me into the ASTIC trail(stem cell transplat).

Hi

Sorry to hear that was your last resort. I have heard a lot about stem cell treatment. It sounds good but scary but I know you have to consider everything with this illness. My daughter is 17. I also have crohns but after having years of really bad flare ups I had an op which took some of my bowel away and rejoined and now I have been well for a long time. I get some problems but nothing I cant handle. I hope you find something soon.
