hey fellers, this is kind of embarassing for me, im 27 years old, ive had crohns for 6 an a half years now, im currently going through a massive flare up and had all the medication on offer, my only options left are an illeostomy or possible stem cell therapy.
im in a long term relationship with a cracking girl the problem is when we get intimit i get an erecton an we both enjoy the foreplay then when we start having sex it starts out good but then the pain in my rectum starts to increase and i lose it, leaving me frustrated and like im letting both of us down. i was wondering if any other guys suffer from anything simaler and how your dealing/ delt with it? some help would be massivly appreceated. thanks

I used to get the same, even out of a flare up,  I can can sympathise with you.

I had to take the ileostomy route, was not offered stem cell. Since having the ileostomy, I have been able to lead a very satisfying love life, with no pain.

Also find the explaining what the ileostomy is, and why i have it, to girls they seem not to be bothered about it.

I know its not exactly the answer you were looking for but thought to share.

It was something that worried me, and my father before I got my bag, being only 18, and going off to Uni, them kinds of things were expected to happen. If you do go down the bag route, just ensure you put a clean one on before hand, and you both are sorted.
