I was in hospital about 8 wks ago, with small bowel obstruction, had a scan 8 days later and was told everything is clear, and my consultant said he was keeping an open mind.

I saw him 3 wks later and he told me they found I have myelitis, hes keeping an eye on me, so see him again on 24th May. Never dawned on me to ask what it was.  Does anyone else know ?

I was taken from work Wed to my docs surgey this week because of pains in my back going round to my abdomen, all he said was you havent a temp, (I felt freezing cold) he felt my tum which was tender on right side.  Told him I had hemi-colectomy 2 yrs ago, all he said was I was tender there, told me to go home after he done some bloods and that he would phone me in the afternoon which he didnt.  I had to ring the surgery next morning, and was told the results are nothing to worry about, yet am still in pain.  Just dont know what else to do apart from taking voltarol and asacol.

I really dont want to go back into hospital again.

Regards
