Nice to meet you all, i'm new to the forum.

I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease eight years ago now and I'm still figuring out how to manage the illness. Currently I'm in remission but am finding that I still tire very easily. I was wondering if other Crohn's sufferers found that they were very tired even when they were not having a flair up?

I had several infusions of intravenous iron six months ago and felt very energised after those but the effects have worn off and I am noticing tiredness again. I've had my blood checked and I'm not anaemic at the moment.

Does anyone else have similar experiences?

Hi joanne, im always tired in flare up or not, my bloods say im folic acid deficiant a couple of months ago, but yesterday i fainted for the first time, so im now wandering if im aneamic, i see my consultant on monday next week so ill ask then for another blood test. tiredness is  a symptom of crohns, and ive spoken to lots of peeps who tire very easily, anything else to ask ask away, theres loads of great people on here who will gladly help tc xxxsuexxx

hi joanne, I feel pretty wiped out at the moment, some days better than others.  Thought at first it was the steriods but appartently its the crohns.  Some days I feel like I have a dose of flu coming on, really tired, dizzy and achey.   I can sleep like I'm in a coma and then wake up feeling like I haven't slept a wink and still ache !  I am taking immuo suppressants and folic acid and my blood tests come back fine.  I cope with it by trying to have a rest (even half and hour sit) as often as I can.  I work part time (mornings) so I can pace myself in the afternoons although some evenings I need to be in bed by 9pm !  Just go with the flow !!
