Hi all, hope you are all well?

I've been taking azathioprine for a while now, I forget what it was I took before, and I have been taking prednisolone for year (on & off) I always thought it was the prednisolone that made my skin so blotchy, but I have not had prednisolone for 4 weeks now and it getting bad again, I can only think it's the azathioprine.  Has anyone else had this problem?

I'm seeing Gastro this week as I'm moving to Humira, as Infliximab had limited help for me.

Any thoughts?

Hi there, it's hard to know what side effects are being caused by which medication isn't it! Don't forget the pred will take a while to come out of your system...I'd say for me I only returned to 'normal' about 5 months after I'd stopped taking it, which was the same length of time I was on it. Should have been out of my system long before then but for some reason some of the side effects hung around. If that's the only side effect you're experiencing then count yourself lucky! If I didn't have any obvious side effects I'd definitely go back on it short term, it was really effective in treating my crohn's.

Hey guys, I wish this was the only side affect! (sickness, headaches, tremors & hypertension to name a few)  It's just it's bothering me allot lately, I've learned to live with over the years.  I've found that Prednisolone has little effect on my symptoms. I think I will ask about it this week.
