Hello

I was wondering if there's anyone out there who suffers from Crohn's in the stomach as I sometimes feel like I'm the only one?  It seems to get forgotten about because it's so rare - my GP and consultant certainly keep forgetting and they've been treating me for a flare up for the past 6 months!  My consultant says there's no maintenance medication specifically for the stomach (although pentasa is slightly better than asacol) as they're all focused on the gut. I've been on a course of steroids which seemed to have sorted out this flare up but after a few weeks of improvement I've been feeling increasingly sick again.  Has anyone got any advice on how to manage Crohn's in the stomach?

Thanks so much, Toni x

I get it aswell, i need to take time off work because i work as a mechanic and find lifting heavy things and doing excersise brings it on. Does that happen to you aswell? anyway to answer your question i take operzole for my sore stomachs and that seems to work, well it does most days anyway

Being tired or run down definitely makes it worse for me.  Its really hard to figure out any other triggers, like foods, as some days most foods are fine (although I don't eat wheat, dairy, caffeine as I know these are a problem) and other days I can't even eat a banana without feeling bilious. I read some good things about taking apple cider vinegar for acid reflux, if you get that, so I'm giving that a go at the moment but I'll speak to my consultant about operzole - thanks.
