HI Tracey. I've had crohns disease foe ten years and have been diagnosed for 4 of them. I suffer with severe tiredness like urself and don't manage to do anything with my life. People think i'm lazy.
In regards to joint pain though I have really bad wrists. I went to the doctor and they knew i had crohns disease but that wasn't even suggested. I had tests for athritis and tendinitis even though i'm only 24 and then got sent to a specialist. As soon as i went to see the specialist it turns out that a side effect of crohn's disease can also be an athritis feeling in your joints. Hope this helps

I have found not taking meds as the best option. More easier to control my only chrons sideeffects. When I have loose stools I tend to take more fiber like bread etc.... when constipated I have more acidic fruit..... when nauses or ill like symptons I take a pinch of sea salt + pinch of brown sugar mixed with spring water. Almost emidiant relieve to no symptons at all. Bee polen mixed with spring water to energise. I avoid at all costs tap water... dairy...beef...nonorganic....gluten...I have been cooking with spring water for last year & never felt any better. Wow!  Along with other changes to eating habits like no fryups....junk food...nonnatural drinks. Even squash or juice. My almost miracle cure. I still feel better this way. I would never go back as iam now.....

i have just been reading all your posts and i have had crohn's disease for 12 years and acid reflux disease
and i have had countless flare ups and hospital admisions and in one weeks time i am due to have a drug
called infliximab to help me in my fight against crohn's disease, i understand every body on here because
i have had severe pain, blood, very bad tiredness, sickness, and every thing else that you get with this illness
i also suffer with three other illnesses which are very severe at times, because of all this illness that i have i
have had to retire from work at a young age and i have not worked for 27 years these illnesses have destroyed
my life but i have never given in to all this illness i am a very tough person and i just carry on and get on with it
so everybody on here you must never give in you must keep going and try to be hope full because you will have
bad times but you will also have times when you feel well trust me because i know i am also on aza and have been for about 10 years also been on steriods countless times and mesalazine and nexium and also had hundreds of blood tests over the years i have been through the mill as they say, at the moment i am taking 30 drugs a day to fight my illnesses, also the trick with dla is to fill the forms out correctly and if you keep getting turned down you must try again till you get it and never give in with it because that is what i did and i have been on it for many years they also turned me down twice, well i must go for now as i have to take more drugs i hope my story helps people on here and if anybody has any questions or needs any help please feel free to contact me on here all the best from john.
